Ethiopia addresses Niger, alternate member of the UN Security Council on the Grand Renaissance Dam

Ethiopia briefed Niger, an alternate member of the United Nations Security Council, on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
President Sahelework Zewde discussed various issues with his Nigerien counterpart Mohamed Bazom.
During the meeting, the Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Dr. Sileshi Bekele, explained Ethiopia's position on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
Niger is one of the alternate members of the UN Security Council.
It is known that the Security Council has raised concerns about the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and the law enforcement campaign in the Tigray region.
The Nigerien president's visit is also said to have given Niger a better understanding of the issues raised by the Security Council regarding Ethiopia.
Recently, Sudanese Foreign Minister Dr. Mariam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi discussed with various African leaders the issue of the dam.
Earlier, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sami Shukri traveled to various African countries to express his views on the dam negotiations.
Ethiopia has also intensified its efforts to reflect the truth and position of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
